Pictures at an Exhibition [In association with the Nassima Landau Art Foundation]

Commemorating one year to October 7th, with a special performance of Pictures at an Exhibition

Lahav Shani will conduct the Israel Philharmonic in a special performance of Mussorgsky‘s immortal Pictures at an Exhibition, inspired by ten pictures of the artist Viktor Hartmann, exhibited in a retrospective after the artist’s death. Our performance is also intended to commemorate and memorialize, and will be accompanied by the screening of ten new art works commissioned especially by us, in association with the Nassima-Landau Gallery. The works were created by ten Israeli artists, who sought to represent and memorialize October 7th. The pictures will be exhibited to the public in the foyer of the Charles Bronfman Auditorium.

We will also perform Tzvi Avni‘s spiritual Prayer for string orchestra, as well as Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto no. 1, with cellist Pablo Ferrández.
