Born in Israel, Hadar Cohen began playing the violin at the age of six. He graduated from the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and served in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician. He studied with Ms. Ora Shiran at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and later continued his studies in Germany with Prof. Axel Wilczok.
Hadar performed as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Academy Orchestra and played in the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Hamburg Philharmonic.
As an avid chamber musician, he is was a member of the Rosso and Carmel Quartets, with whom he performed extensively in Israel, Europe and the USA. He was also a member of the Pitango Quartet and together they recorded a CD of Argentinian Tango music.
Hadar Cohen lives in Tel Aviv with his wife and son.
