Born in Perm, Russia, Yuri Kissin started his career in Israel. He then moved to France, spent a couple of years at the Paris Opera Studio and since then has taken part in many productions on the stages of both the Opéra Bastille and the Palais Garnier. He has performed in most French opera houses and festivals, as well as in Madrid, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Moscow, Perm, Amsterdam, Maribor, Monte Carlo and at the Royal Opera House in Denmark and in Sweden.  He has participated in many productions of the Israeli Opera. In the concert hall he has sung with most of the prominent Parisian Orchestras and with the Israel Philharmonic under the baton of Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos and Zubin Mehta.
