Noam Massarik joined the Israel Philharmonic in 2014.
He earned his Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich and his Bachelor of Music at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.
During his time in Munich he joined Daniel Barenboim’s West Eastern Divan Orchestra, with which he has participated in prestigious festivals worldwide and continues to play to this day.
In addition to his orchestral activity in Israel and abroad, he has taken part in chamber music projects together with international soloists, among them Chen Halevi, Itamar Zorman, Boris Brovtsyn and Christian Tetzlaff.
Noam Massarik, who grew up in a musical family and eventually followed his father, double bassist Amir Massarik, to classical music, started his musical path in the Jazz scene, playing with some of the finest Jazz musicians in Israel and abroad, including all time Jazz giants like Charles Davis and Frank Wess.
In recent years he has been devoting much of his time to teaching and is on the faculty of the Israel Conservatory of Music and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.
