Nasif Francis was born in Nazareth in 2001 and began studying the violin at the age of five at the Barenboim-Said Conservatory. By eleven, he became a violinist in the Galilee Orchestra, Israel’s first professional orchestra composed of both Arab and Jewish musicians.
Since October 2020, Nasif has been pursuing a B.A. in Music at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music under Prof. Svetlana Simannovsky. He has received a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians like Mariam Fried and Gregory Kalinovsky. Nasif has performed extensively in Europe and the US, including notable venues like the Konzerthaus in Berlin and Carnegie Hall in New York, and has served as the concertmaster for the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra.
