Born in Moscow in 1975, Marianna Povolotzky began her musical education at the age of 6 at the Tchaikovsky Central Music School.
In 1990 she settled in Israel, where she studied at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance and the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University.
Marianna is a recipient of America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships. In 1991-93 she was a member of the Young Israel Philharmonic. In 1996 she won first prize at the Tel Aviv Academy chamber music competition and that same year she joined the Israel Philharmonic. She has appeared as soloist with the Ra’anana Symphonette, the Tel Aviv Academy Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic.
Marianna performs chamber music with various ensembles in Israel and abroad.
