Linor Katz has been a member of the Israel philharmonic since 2015.
She has appeared as soloist with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra at the Prague Rudolfinum, as well as with the Jerusalem Symphony and the Israel Symphony Rishon LeZion, among others.
Linor is an active chamber musician in Israel and around the world. She has collaborated with renowned artists, including Martha Argerich, Daniel Barenboim, Itzhak Perlman, Gil Shaham, Cristian Tezlaff, Khatia Buniatishvili and Renaud and Gaultier Capuçon.
Born in Israel in 1987, she began her cello studies at the age of 10 with Michael Bezem at the Tel Aviv Music Conservatory. Later, she studied with Hillel Zori at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. She completed her Bachelor and Master’s Degrees at the New England Conservatory as a student of Laurence Lesser.
