Gili Radian-Sade

Gili Radian-Sade is a violist, violinist, backing vocalist and yoga/yoga therapy certified instructor, with expertise in orthopedic conditions.
In addition to playing in the viola section of the Israel Philharmonic, Gili is active in chamber music, in modern music, and as a session musician in the popular music industry in Israel.
Gili graduated from Thelma-Yellin high school of the arts, where she led the school’s orchestra and played with it as a soloist. She was a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships, and regularly participated in the David Goldman Chamber Music Program for Outstanding Young Musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center.
Gili received her bachelor’s degree in violin performance at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, where she studied with violinist Nitai Zori. During her studies she won the first prize in the school’s chamber music competition, and has served as the violist of the school’s representative chamber group, with whom she performed in concerts in Israel and abroad. She has also served as Concertmaster of the school’s orchestra under the baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta, among others.
In 2018 and 2019 she was chosen to be a soloist with the Chursächsische Philharmonic Orchestra, as part of the Chursächsische master classes in Bad Elster.
In 2018 she was invited to serve as guest principal violist of Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
As a session musician, Gili has recorded for movies, TV series, musicals and for many local artists such as Achinoam Nini and Dudu Tassa.
As a chamber musician, she has performed in all the main venues in Israel and in the Israel Philharmonic Chamber Series with artists such as violinist Gil Shaham and cellist Pablo Ferrández, as well as with pianists Daniil Trifonov, Fazil Say and Leif Ove Andsnes, among others.
As a Yoga therapy instructor, Gili works with musicians who experience pain and injuries from playing, and teaches correct breathing and posture.
