Daniel Mazaki, Principal Bassoonist of the Israel Philharmonic since 2011, served as Principal Bassoonist of the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, the Cologne Opera Orchestra, the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim, the Bonn Chamber Orchestra, the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon Le’Zion and other Israeli and German orchestras.
He has participated in major festivals, among them the Pacific Music Festival in Japan and Schleswig-Holstein, and has appeared as soloist with many orchestras, including the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv Ensemble and the Israel Philharmonic .
Born in Rehovot in 1980, he studied with Mauricio Paez in Israel and Prof. Dag Jensen at the Hanover Hochschule für Musik.
In 1995-2006 he won America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships.
