At what age did you begin playing a musical instrument?
I started playing at the age of 5, in a Suzuki music school.

At what age did you understand that you wish to pursue a musical career?
I was around 12 when I knew I would become a violinist and never doubted since.

Name an unforgettable moment with the IPO
Working with Kirill Petrenko in December 2019 was one of the highpoints of my orchestral career.

What do you love to do off-stage?
I love to cook and bake and learn how to make new recipes. I also love reading, mostly crime novels, and usually read in Icelandic these days.

Did you acquire any new skills during the pandemic?
I started going to Ulpan (Hebrew school) during the first lockdown, and have been taking classes most of the year. I knew nothing when I started, but now I can read and write very basic texts, and have a simple conversation. I’m really enjoying learning Hebrew and will continue taking classes in 2021.
