Born in Tashkent, Adelina Grodsky followed her older sister’s example and started studying the violin at age 8. She entered the Uspensky School for talented children, where she was a pupil of Nathan Mendelssohn. Since then her teacher has moved to Germany and now teaches in Bad Kissingen. She continued her studies at the Ashrafi Academy and was a winner of competitions both as a soloist and as chamber musician. In 1991, she immigrated to Israel. She played with the Raanana Symphonette and the Tel Aviv Symphony under Itai Talgam. She joined the Israel Philharmonic in 1994. In 2004, she joined her sister in Stockholm and played with the Stockholm Opera. Adelina Grodsky has two daughters.
